Bonkers Watching us Work - a photo on Flickriver

            Bonkers on the bed this evening. He's almost 20 1/2 years old and just recently, he seems to have lost control of his bladder. We had to move him to a different part of the bed to clean things up. Fortunately, we anticipated this and he only made a "mistake" on wee-wee mats. After we cleaned up the wee-wee mats, we cleaned him up with wet cat tissues, then groomed him, then gave him a massage. He was very affectionate and happy with all of the attention (I just hope he doesn't learn the wrong lesson here.)

Bonkers may be nearing the end of his time with us. At his age, we won't be surprised when he goes, just very very sad. Hopefully that time is not yet.

In the meantime, we will buy diapers for him to help contain the urine (which means we will have to clean him up even more than normal). We will call the vet tomorrow for advice.

[Later: He’s been purring a lot this evening, still in his happy, blissful state from all of the attention we gave him earlier. Unfortunately his voice is rough after he purrs...]
