T-72 Main Battle Tank, Soviet Union Bloc/Russia, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada

            The T-72 is a Soviet-designed main battle tank that entered production in 1973. Armed with a 125 mm cannon and complemented by 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns, it replaced the T-54/55 series as the workhorse of Soviet tank forces (while the T-64 and T-80 served as the Soviet high-technology tanks). In front-line Russian service, T-72s are being upgraded or augmented by the T-90, itself a modernized version of the T-72B.  The T-72 is the most widely used main battle tank in the world. It has been manufactured outside of Russia, is in service with the armies of Russia allied and former Soviet Bloc countries.  The T-72 is used by both Russia and Ukraine in the present war
