1954 Daimler CVG6/Weymann

            Newly returned from a re-paint is this magnificently restored 1954 Gardner-engined Daimler CVG6 bus, Rotherham 220. 

The Weymann bodied ex-Rotherham Corporation bus took well over twenty years to restore to an extremely high standard of finish and has been owned by Beamish Museum for the past eight years. During that time it has worked on an almost daily basis conveying visitors around the large site, and the coachwork was showing signs of wear and tear. Thanks to a magnificent job by Gardiners Coachbuilders of Spennymoor (Co. Durham) the bus is now restored to its former glory.
