Tidal Flat Meets Forest - a photo on Flickriver

            Here along the south central coast you can get dramatic shifts in landscape caused by different plant species in close proximity. The grasses grow in the brackish tidal water and where there's just a bit of elevational relief forest trees are the dominant plant.
