Across my house lives a nice family with young kids. The daughter of the family used to ride this bike starting at the age of 2 (as you know, EVERYBODY in the Netherlands rides a bicycle). In the meantime she has grown about two feet and now rides a quite different bicycle.

Her old bicycle is still parked against the house, no lock, and in the meantime nature has started to embrace her bicycle history. It is symbolic of how she is getting from one stage (or place) to the other.

I hope this bicycle will be there forever.
