The drive from Whistler to Wells Gray provincial Park was by a fair way the longest days driving of the trip . I was behind the wheel for about seven hours it was very enjoyable travelling through some varied landscapes on almost empty roads . Maybe by North American standards seven hours driving isn’t too big a deal, in England if you drove in any direction for seven hours you would end up in the sea. We headed north east from Whistler before turning East towards Kamloops and then North to Clearwater . I loved the stretch of road from Cache Creek to Kamloops we were running along the Thompson River and the landscape was reminiscent of Wyoming I believe the name of this area is the Cariboo . Strangely for such a varied day I took only one photograph . It wasn’t the weather that day somehow I just got into the driving zone I took in the scenery but perhaps I should have stopped more . I did take this shot in a pull in south of Lillooet it shows a tiny part of Seton Lake. I was going to see a multitude of beautifully coloured lakes later in the trip but this was my first glimpse of one of these iridescent green/blue lakes
