Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (CAM)

            O arquiteto japonês Kengo Kuma (1954) reimaginou completamente o anterior edifício do CAM – Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (2024). A grande pala coberta de azulejos brancos de linhas suaves e orgânicas, inspirada na tipologia Engawa, um caminho protegido pelo beiral do telhado, que não é totalmente interior ou exterior e que se encontra frequentemente nas casas tradicionais japonesas.

Japanese architect Kengo Kuma (1954) completely reimagined the previous building of CAM – Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (2024). The large marquee covered in white tiles with soft, organic lines, inspired by the Engawa typology, a path protected by the roof eaves, which is not entirely internal or external and which is often found in traditional Japanese houses.
