Untitled, 2003

            Animatronic sculpture by Maurizio Catalan. Based on Gunter Grass's 1959 novel by The Tin Drum, which tells of a boy who wills himself to stay as a child as he lived though WW II. His prized possession is his drum. In one key episode, he disrupts a Nazi rally with the pounding rhythm. A call for caution , for us to look to the past  in order not to repeat its mistakes.
