Handmade Hot Glass Lampwork Bead Necklace in Shades of Red & Topaz

I used a combnation of transparent red, various shades of opaque red, opaque tiger's eye and transparent topaz glass, all Venetian, to make the beads for this necklace. All the beads have added threads or trails of similar colors, often contrasting with the beads themselves.

For the large focal bead, I used transparent red, opaque yellow, and some gold colored mica powder for sparkle, and encased it all in clear glass.

The beads are separated by a variety of brassy colored decorative spacers in graduated sizes, while the piece is secured with an "antiqued" decorative toggle.
