Elderly Woman, Holding a Portrait, in Full Mourning, Ca. late 60s/1870

            A woman from New Hampshire, posed wearing full mourning attire, and holding a portrait of her beloved one. A visceral image of her eternal love and for remembrance. The date of this image is late 1860s/very earliest 1870s. 

Note her fingerless gloves and her textured shawl, and her mourning bonnet with a crape veil. Remember, "crape" is the spelling of crepe used for mourning and not a spelling error on my part.
