Tavy Bridge is a Grade II listed railway crossing over the River Tavy estuary in Devon. Built in 1889–90 by the Plymouth, Devonport & South Western Junction Railway and opened in 1890 to give the London & South Western Railway access to Plymouth, the bridge combines iron and stone with eight iron bowstring girders on cast-iron piers at its centre, flanked by stone viaducts of seven arches to the south-east and two to the north-west. First listed in 1984 and amended in 2016, it remains a fine example of late Victorian railway engineering, still carrying trains on the Tamar Valley Line. Its elegant span across the estuary has long been a landmark for travellers and photographers, particularly striking at low tide when the piers and arches are fully revealed.
