            Sonnenuntergang

Der Himmel ist rot wie die Liebe, 
wenn der Augenblick doch länger bliebe.
Ein Abschied des Tages, fast zu perfekt, 
dann haben Wolken die Sonne verdeckt. 

Werden wir sie bald wiedersehen? 
Noch scheint die Zeit fast still zu stehen. 
Wird morgen noch alles so sein wie vorher, 
oder gibt es das Schauspiel dann nicht mehr? 

Ich werde in der Dunkelheit warten,
bis die Vögel ihr Morgenlied starten. 
Als endlich der neue Tag erwacht, 
haben die Wolken Regen gebracht.

The sky is red like love,
if only the moment could last longer.
A farewell to the day, almost too perfect,
then clouds have obscured the sun.

Will we see it again soon?
Time still seems to stand almost still.
Will everything be the same tomorrow,
or will the spectacle no longer exist?

I will wait in the darkness, 
until the birds begin their morning song.
When the new day finally dawns,
the clouds have brought the rain.
