Cow Moose

            This morning, I was thrilled to see a cow moose in my backyard, savoring a drink from one of the many runoff puddles. She lingered long enough to quench her thirst before going toward the busy highway. Later, as I headed to the mailbox, I spotted her at the edge of the Glenn Highway, grazing on the grass by the roadside. Drivers slowed down, some even honking, as they cautiously maneuvered around her. Encounters like this are a powerful reminder of our collective duty to protect the wildlife that shares our space. I waited patiently until it was safe to cross while keeping an eye on the moose, hoping she would navigate the road safely. Let's remember to cherish and safeguard these magnificent creatures in our environment.
