My little bro is quite the poker player (and I may play bit too), so I like to collect card and poker covers, many of which feature on the cover of Western pulps and paperbacks.  The redhead is smoking in more ways than one, but I wouldn't trust her to see my cards, not one bit.

A new experiment with this fresh restore today. I've seen a fellow magazine enthusiast (Siren in the Night in my follow/following, a truly amazing scanner) perform some extraordinary feats recently with what you might call a turbo restore.  While I hate to rush an edit, I do see the benefit of a free and easy approach. I set my timer at fifteen minutes for this one, but it ended up taking an hour, still fast for me.  I'll find a comfortable medium, perhaps, in toying with these occasional fast edits in my cover only work here at Flickr.  These faster restores may have many more imperfections, but I'm confident they will still look perfectly lovely.  I didn't quite reconstruct George's signature in this one, though I might have if I pulled it from some other covers.  A signature is a detail I'll prefer often not to tinker with, though George's work is perfectly recognizable signature or no.
