245 007, RE 3064, Markdorf (Baden)...

            Nach der Arbeit wurden am späten Nachmittag mit einem Blick ins Wolkenradar erste Vermutungen, dass von der dichten Nebeldecke (die den ganzen Tag über keine Sonnenstrahlen ins Bodenseehinterland durchdringen ließ) nichst mehr übrig war, bestätigt. Diese Erkenntnis passte dem Fotografen gut in den Kram, denn durch Meldungen eines Hobbykollegen wusste man, dass an jenem Tag neben etlichen 245ern auch 218 429 auf dem RE 3 mitmischte. Da die Anreise ohne größere Zwischenfälle erfolgte, war noch ausreichend Zeit vorhanden, um vor der 218 noch dem 3064 beizuwohnen. Jener Expresszug konnte gegen Fünf vor Fünf vor der "Skyline" von Markdorf abgelichtet werden. Anschließend sollte es für den Fotografen noch ins nahegelegene Salem gehen, wo mit einer Aufnahme der edlen 218 429 ein erfolgreicher Tagesabschluss eingeleitet werden konnte...
