4435W Ioco - a photo on Flickriver

4435W Ioco

            A46. Formerly V46, switches out the refinery at mile 2.78 of the ioco spur. Definitely one of my favorite jobs to shoot, whether its hanging out in the abandoned town of ioco or watching the train streak along side the ocean front houses along the beautiful Burrard Inlet, this job is just chill. The refinery has been taking an insane amount of car loads recently so much so that they no longer fit in the yard at ioco. Since they cant run around they now reverse down the spur, eliminating a lot of shot opportunities, that combined with the more recent continuous welded rail, times just aren't what they used to be. Being quite close to this area, I remember seeing this job a lot as a kid. Hot summer days with Ice cream from rocky point and the sound of a K3L echoing off the Inlet, those were the days.
