Indian paradancing

            Ah, India, that ancient cultural hub of the world.  Steeped in history, home of some of the most ancient civilisations, guiding light to the rest of the world for so many centuries, she bathes in her self inherited glories.

At the same time, as a forward thinking nation, India is never afraid to explore new directions, new technologies.

So here we see the newly invented artform of paradancing, still in its infancy. 

The concept is simple. 

The dancer, for so many centuries full of grace and charm and exotic excitement, always lacked that final ability - to perform three dimensionally, in the air.

And so the idea of paradancing came about - with deft tugs of the strings, the dancer can not only weave her usual spell, but now rise, invent new airborne moves, leap further, dazzle, innovate.

It's not an easy skill to master; in the background, we see a novice dancer who hasn't quite got the drift yet. 

Or rather, she has.
