Going International - a photo on Flickriver

            My first tree climb outside Australia, and what a fantastic way to mark the occassion!

A change in GWR's timetable for the summer holidays saw the rostering of a HST Castle set to replace a class 158 on a weekday-only service from Penzance to Exeter & Return. Having so far gone HST-less on my visit, the chance to shoot one in revenue service along the sea wall was too good to pass up!

Enjoying a brief period of operating all the way through to Exeter, a HST Castle set powered by units 43086 & 43189 departs the station in Dawlish working GWR service 2C20, the 11:27 Exeter St Davids to Penzance. 4/8/25
