Wall of wood

            Atherton Tablelands, Queensland, Australia:  The "Curtain Fig" has been a popular tourist attraction near Yungaburra since the 1920s.  It developed as a result of the host tree of a strangler fig, which germinate high in other trees and then send their roots to the ground, died and fell into another tree; both the original host tree and the new tree supporting it eventually rotted away, leaving the strangler fig free-standing.
