Northwest Folklife Festival: Twirls - a photo on Flickriver

            Contra dancing at the Northwest Folklife Festival, Seattle, WA.

For so many years I was envious of the folks who had great cameras that could take crisp, sharp pictures.  Now that I do have some of that equipment, I still tend to pursue that ideal of razor-sharp images.  These two shots remind me that sometimes I have to remember that that's not always the right goal.  Nothing sharp here — and because of that, they're two of my favorite dance shots so far.
