Roving Entertainers, New Year’s Eve, 2020

Wagga's usual form of New Year's Eve entertainment was cancelled in November 2020, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. That cancellation was overturned on December 14 as restrictions eased in NSW, and a replacement COVID-safe model was quickly devised instead.

To prevent crowds gathering, roving entertainers moved along sections of Fitzmaurice and Baylis Sts, in a bid to help local businesses attract custom while they operated under capacity limits, and provide a festive end to 2020.
