Carder bumble bee - a photo on Flickriver

Carder bumble bee

            Every spring I watch & wait for my loganberry to produce flowers.    At that moment the larger carder bumble bees arrive. Noisily & most notably bumbling from flower to flower.
I need to use my longest focal length lens, which means a massive two metres minimum focussing distance. But being paired with a crop sensor camera, namely a Nikon D500 my 150-600 becomes 225-900. The subject is small.
