RAMAL DE CAMPOS 6ª ETAPA
La sexta etapa da comienzo en Sahaún el Real 25,04 km, para terminar en Castromocho. Disfrutaremos de los característicos paisajes de amplios campos de secano combinados con parcelas regadas con la aportaciones de aguas del Canal. A cinco km. iniciado el camino se cruza el río Retortillo gracias al acueducto de Arrollo Mayor, rodeado de un bosque de chopos muy agradable. Al poco encontramos el puente del Deseo y la charca del mismo nombre. Cinco km. después de cruzar el puente de Fuentes de Nava pasaremos por el acueducto de Valdeginate, desde el que podremos apreciar una bonita vista del Canal y su entorno. Dos km. mas adelante llegamos a Abarca de Campos donde se encuentra la 1ª esclusa del Canal de Campos, junto a ella la fabrica de harinas, el embarcadero, almacenes y viviendas de los trabajadores.
Desde Abarca podemos continuar por el margen derecho pero al llegar al puente de la N-610 de difícil acceso, por ello a la salida de Abarca de Campos nos encontramos una ruta alternativa, el sendero GR898 que nos llevará al final de la sexta etapa.
