Milw Extra 5503 West at Division Street

            Returning home to St Paul yard from Superior Wisconsin with the Duluth Winnipeg and Pacific connection at CB&Q Division Street on the east leg of "the St Paul wye" where the Burlington met the Great Northern and the Northern Pacific which each owned 49% of the Burlington leaving only 2% of the stock shares outstanding for the Union Pacific which wanted the Burlington for a route east of Omaha to Chicago which meant that the UP had to use the C&NW or the Milwaukee. When the C&NW "fell from grace" the UP turned to the Milwaukee and then the Milwaukee passenger colors  changed and the maroon strip began to disappear
