An Imperial Tradition - a photo on Flickriver

            The "Palmenhaus", a magnificent construction of iron and glass in the gardens of the Imperial Palace of Schönbrunn in Vienna, was opened in 1882. (You can find some pictures of it in my "Vienna" album.) Since 1883 there has been a tradition of displaying azeleas and camellias in the winter months from January to March. Here an azelea captured in March this year with a Carl Zeiss Flektogon 35mm f:2.8, a close-focussing wide-angle lens with great bokeh potential.
