Leo, the friendly lion... when you play out of tune he simply furrows his bushy eyebrows...
and then he licks his lips (schmatz, schmatz!) after eating up your wrong notes! He never goes hungry!!!

In the colour of the background we see his royal nature...

Sliders Sunday: extensive processing went into this image, but before that it was a matter of getting the lighting right. I used ambient room light, but put translucent plastic bags over the lamps to achieve a veiled softness. Perhaps the most important lighting requisite was a large black umbrella held over the scene during the exposure. It's difficult to reproduce such dark wood tones, so it was a matter for manual settings. The image you see is based on a camera jpg. using "bleach-bypass" mode and a trifle in-camera HDR (three long exposures). Apart from usual adjustments such as exposure compensation, dynamic range, white balance, fine contrast, sharpness tuning and a little retouching, I did some massive sliding on the fine colour controls, including maximal saturation and/or minimal brightness on several colours and hues that do not appear to play a role in the image. But as we know, light is made up of all colours, so this did have an effect - an effect I was looking for...! After selecting the final crop came the finishing touches of dodging and burning-in.

All processing done in my digital darkroom, SilkyPix Developer Studio Pro 9.
