Reflected Glory – Hanover’s Iconic Town Hall

            Das Neue Rathaus in Hannover ist nicht nur ein architektonisches Wahrzeichen, sondern auch ein beliebtes Fotomotiv – besonders, wenn es sich so eindrucksvoll im ruhigen Wasser des Maschteichs spiegelt. Die imposante Kuppel, die roten Ziegeldächer und die filigrane Fassade vereinen Elemente des Historismus und erzählen von einer Zeit voller städtebaulicher Pracht. Mit dem Foto habe ich versuicht eine Stimmung zwischen Urbanität und Natur einzufangen. 
Zum ersten Mal in Hannover unterwegs ... mal schauen, ob weitere Fotoreisen nach Hannover folgen. 

The New Town Hall in Hanover is not only an architectural landmark, but also a popular photo subject – especially when it is so impressively reflected in the calm waters of the Maschteich lake. The imposing dome, the red tiled roofs, and the delicate facade combine elements of historicism and speak of a time full of urban splendor. With this photo, I tried to capture a mood between urbanity and nature.
First time in Hanover... let's see if there will be more photo trips to Hanover.
