Kandergrund / BLS Re 4/4 + BDt "Salenweidli-Pendel"

            For some years, BLS used Re 4/4 II engines and Driving Trailers of EWII type that could be taken over of SBB after their end of life-cycle. BLS used the trains to replace the new "Lötschberger" EMU that have been delivered late on the RE Bern - Spiez - Brig via the old Lötschberg route after the introduction of the new "Basistunnel". On the Kander viaduct near Kandergrund, two RE are caught: on the left a six-car-set with BDt driving trailer and one of the Re 4/4 II already taken over in 2004 for the EWIII-push-pull-sets between Bern and Neuchâtel, climbing up towards Kandersteg, on the right a Bern-bound train with the same basic trainset (but with a Re 4/4 still in SBB red) and  reinforced by four more EWI coaches and a Dt driving van trailer. 
This Push-Pull-Sets were also called "Salenweidli-Pendel" because of a then actual TV series showin live some hundred years ago on so calles "Salenweidli" farm...
