Cold Tidings

            A spectacular autumn day in the Thompson River Canyon nears its end, as the tail end DPU of a westbound CP potash train streaks past Martel, British Columbia.  As every day must end, so must each season.  The cool breeze blowing that evening would portend to the end of our sunny and dry Autumn.  Three days later the first snow of the year would fall on the region.
