Migliarino di palude femmina ambientato (Emberiza schoeniclus)

            Passeriforme di piccole dimensioni, misura circa 15 cm ed è ricoperto in gran parte da penne castane, striate sul dorso. Differenze tra i due sessi sono evidenti nella parte superiore del corpo, nella femmina il capo è marrone scuro con collarino e sopraccigli chiari. Caratteristico è il becco tozzo, a forma conica, tipico di specie granivore che si cibano di sementi.
Questo Zigolo, come vengono comunemente definite le specie della famiglia degli Emberizidi, in Italia presenta popolazioni nidificanti, parzialmente sedentarie, ma anche migratorie e svernanti. Tipico degli ambienti palustri, l’habitat ideale del Migliarino di palude è costituito da canneti e acquitrini.
