The Sun Sets on Bellerive - a photo on Flickriver

            As the sun goes down behind the mountains, Sandy Bay is one of the first suburbs thrown into the shadows. In this little park near the marina there is a welcoming bench on which to sit and watch the last sunlight fall on the eastern shore of the Derwent.

If you enlarge this shot, you can see Bellerive on the other side beyond the moored yachts. Australian sports fans will notice the light stands from the Bellerive cricket and football ground.

This is not a long exposure and yet you can see the movement in the trees on the right. By now the wind was rustling those leaves.
