Filey RNLB Keep Fit Association, 12-13

            After being on station since 1991 the Mersey class all-weather RNLB Keep Fit Association 12-13 (ON 1170) was launch from Filey, Yorkshire for the very last time at 05.30 am. on Thursday 29th. April 2021.
The boat was withdrawn from service and a six man volunteer crew from the Filey station took her to Lowestoft, Suffolk where she was lifted out of the water. The boat may possibly be taken by road transport to RNLI HQ at Poole, Dorset. The boats long-term future is unclear but initially it is likely to become part of the RNLI’s relief fleet.
The Filey station will no longer  have an  all-weather  lifeboat but will be served by the D class  ILB Braund, D-728  and a brand new Atlantic 85  ILB.
Keep Fit Association's  last on service launch was at 9am. on Sunday 18th. April. The boat  carry out the last ever all-weather lifeboat exercise to be undertaken from the Filey  station along with ILB Braund and the relief fleet Atlantic 85 Pride of Fred Olsen, B-913, stationed at Filey until the new Atlantic 85 is built and delivered.
