The Trulli of Alberobello - a photo on Flickriver

            The Trulli  are limestone dwellings located in the southern Italian region of Puglia. They are remarkable examples of classic prehistoric building technique still in use in this region; utilising roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields, molded into pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs. 
The Trulli of Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
