Small leaf fig (Ficus obliqua) with Birds Nest Ferns

            What a pleasure it is to walk in a sub tropical rainforest, as I did this morning. 

Here the giant figs dominate the canopy. Small leaf figs nearby measured 57 and 54 metres tall. I couldn't measure this tree as the canopy was out of sight.

Other species also exceed 50 metres tall, and to stand under them, as I did today, is a privilege. 

Allyn River in the Barrington Tops region of New South Wales, Australia.

I'm unsure if this area is within the UNESCO World Heritage area. But surely, it is of remarkable quality.
