Digging the sunset skies - a photo on Flickriver

            This was one of those evenings when you look out the window and think hhmm that looks interesting, then look out a short while later to see  even more clouds and colour. I always keep a card in my camera and a fully charged battery in  so I picked up  camera and tripod and went down to the fields to check things out.
There were  houses due to be built on this field  three years ago but at the moment there is an archaeological dig going on so the digger became my foreground interest with the brightest part of the sky clutched under it`s arm .
The sky did kick up even more colour and gorgeous clouds over the next half our or so.
No filters in all the images I just exposed for the highlights to keep the digger in silhouette and keep the sky the main attraction though I may have a play with some later images to see what I can bring out.
I spoke to the digger driver the next morning nothing of interest has been found so the field will return to it`s normal flood plain before they build on it .
