The Photographer [of the Second Series]

This past week I had the joy of sharing a second series of portraits of beautiful faces, a series I called "Kiss of the Photographer". I really enjoy working with women in this way: finding the best way I can to show off their beauty in my small studio.

As I did with the first series, I am transitioning my photostream by use of a similar portrait. I thought about inviting one of the models to kiss me, but I also thought about how that puts me even more in the spotlight than this solo-shot already does.

I don't know why this is uncomfortable for me. I do show up, prominently, in a great many of my photos. Often, it is the back of me, and sometimes that means that you all get a nice view of my bare backside. But again, I will insist, it is my intent to display the female form in all her beauty (and, more often than not in my photos, sublime eroticism).

I am a creature of process. In the first series, I included seven models. In this series, I did the same. After the first series, I pointed the camera back at myself. I do so again with this image. Precedent and process calms me.

I don't think I have the most beautiful avatar. I feel outclassed by the women I include in these studies.
