That's how to operate a quarry! - a photo on Flickriver

            An Avonside (might have been called Scott) is dawrfed by the Ruston Bucyrus steam shovel in the mid-1960s. The Avonside was later scrapped but friends and I bought the steam shovel for £50, drove it out of the quarry, took it to bits and moved it to Beamish Muse)m, where it remains. Hessle Quarry, west of Hull (photographer unknown - think ti was a Blue Circle PR photo).
