The Covered Market, Oxford 3 March 2025

            Oxford's Covered Market was opened in 1774 as a general wish to clear 'untidy, messy and unsavoury stalls' from the main streets of central Oxford.

Today, about half the stalls sell food, with many newer stalls catering to the needs of tourists.
