Llandegfedd Reservoir, Glascoed, Pontypool 14 October 2020

            Looking from the dam wall across to the new water sports centre, opened in 2015.

Llandegfedd Reservoir was built in the early 1960s by Cardiff City Water Works to supply the growing city with water. It also supplies local areas, and rendered Blaen Bran reservoir in Upper Cwmbran and Penyrheol reservoir in Pontypool, redundant.
