Cloudy

            The Cabo Mayor lighthouse, also called Buenavista due to the beautiful panoramic view that can be seen from it, presides over the entrance to the bay of the beautiful city of Santander. The current lighthouse was lit for the first time on the night of August 15, 1839, but it is known that since ancient times signals were made from this place to ships, with flags during the day and large bonfires at night.
El faro de Cabo Mayor, también llamado de Buenavista por la hermosa panorámica que desde él puede apreciarse, preside la entrada de la bahía de la bonita ciudad de Santander. El faro actual se encendió por primera vez la noche del 15 de agosto de 1839, pero se conoce que desde tiempos remotos se hacían señales desde este lugar a los barcos, con banderas durante el día y grandes hogueras por la noche.
