Fitis / Willow Warbler - a photo on Flickriver

            Der Fitis gehört zu den Vögeln, die fast durchwegs von einem Ästchen zum nächsten hüpfen. Man hat wenig Zeit sie zu fotografieren und wenn man sie mal erwischt hängen von den Seiten meist ein Dutzend kleine Zweige ins Bild. Bei diesem Foto hatte ich zwar Glück und konnte ihn schön freistellen. Zum Ausgleich war er aber etwas zu weit weg. 😄 Wenn es ein Dauerthema beim fotografieren von Singvögeln in freier Wildbahn gibt, dann ist das die Brennweite. Man hat nie genug davon. 

The willow warbler is one of those birds that almost always hops from one branch to the next. You don't have much time to photograph it and when you do catch it, there are usually a dozen small branches sticking into the picture from the sides. I was lucky with this photo and was able to isolate it nicely on its perch. Unfortunately it was a bit too far away at the same time. 😄If there's one constant issue when photographing songbirds in the wild, it's the focal length. You never have enough of it.
