            Nur ein sauberes Gefieder schützt gegen Näße und nur ein trockenes schützt gegen Kälte. Am Ende eines jeden Waschvorgangs steht deshalb immer das trocknen des Gefieders. In Ermangelung eines Handtuchs, kann man sich auch einfach kräftig schütteln. Das funktioniert besonders gut, wenn man seine Feder eingefettet hat. 
Komp. Detail: Aufnahmen bei extrem schnellen Bewegungen sind immer auch vom Zufall abhängig. Bei diesem Foto ist zwischen den Federn der Flügelspitzen das Auge der Ente sichtbar. Egal wie schön die Action ist - ohne diesen Blickkontakt hätte ich das Bild verworfen.

Comp. Detail: Shots of extremely fast movements are always dependent on chance. In this photo, the duck's eye is visible between the feathers on the wing tips. No matter how nice the action looks - without this eye contact, I would have discarded the photo.
