Blässralle / Coot / in explore 20230917

            Das Blässhuhn ist ein eher unscheinbarer Wasservogel. Es hat kein buntes Gefieder, sein einziges herausstechendes Merkmal ist der weiße Fleck am Kopf und wenn man genauer hinsieht die roten Augen. Dieses unspektakuläre Aussehen macht es ein wenig schwieriger ein schönes Foto anzufertigen. Ich habe mir damit beholfen, dass ich dieses Exemplar beim Frühsport aufgenommen habe. Die Rallen gehören übrigens zur Familie der Kraniche. Aber wenn ich sie mir hier ansehe dann denke ich, sie hält sich für einen Adler. 😋
Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch Anklicken gehen euch viele Details verloren. 

The coot is a rather inconspicuous water bird. It does not have colourful plumage, its only sort of outstanding feature is the white spot on the head and, if you look closely, the red eyes. This unspectacular appearance makes it a little more difficult to take a nice photo. I tried to remedy this by taking a shot during its morning exercise. By the way, the coots belong to the crane family. But when I look at the coot here I think it believes it's an eagle. 😋
