Schau genau / look closely - a photo on Flickriver

            Es gibt nicht mehr so viele Hasen wie vor dreißig, vierzig Jahren aber dass man an manchen Tagen keinen einzigen mehr draußen sieht fand ich schon sehr frustrierend. Erst vor kurzem habe ich dann bemerkt, dass diese "Leere" in der Natur zumindest teilweise wieder damit zusammenhängt, dass ich nicht richtig hingesehen habe. Auf Wiesen von der Größe eines halben Fußballfeldes sind bei uns fast immer ein bis drei Hasen vorhanden - nur verstecken sie sich indem sie sich hin- und die Ohren anlegen. Sie tun das mehrere Stunden lang ohne sich von der Stelle zu bewegen. Ab und zu heben sie den Kopf etwas und prüfen kurz die Umgebung. Bei einer dieser Gelegenheiten entstand das Foto. Dann tauchen sie wieder ab, blinzeln mit den Augen, mümmeln ein paar frische Halme und versuchen alle Gefahren zu vermeiden. 
Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch Anklicken gehen viele Details verloren. 

There aren't as many rabbits as there were thirty or forty years ago, but I found it very frustrating that on some days you don't see a single one outside. Only recently did I realize that this "emptiness" in nature is at least partly related to me not looking out properly. In meadows half the size of a football field, there are almost always one to three rabbits - only they hide by laying down and folding their ears back. They do this for several hours without moving. From time to time they lift their heads a little and briefly examine their surroundings. The photo was taken on one of these occasions. Then they duck again, blink their eyes, eat a few fresh straws and try to avoid all dangers.
