Purpurlicht über dem Odenwald / Purple light above Odenwald forrest

            Und natürlich das Auerbacher Schloss mit einem Mond. Diese Aufnahme entstand heute eher zufällig. Ich sah durch das Fenster den roten Abendhimmel und den Mond, war vom violett so fasziniert, dass ich mich ohne Jacke und Handschuhe aber mit Kamera und Dreibein aufs Fahrrad geschwungen habe, ins Feld gefahren bin und dieses improvisierte Foto geschossen habe. Wenige Minuten später war der Himmel wieder blaugrau. Das optische Phänomen des Purpurlicht tritt in der Dämmerung auf und entsteht durch kleine (Staub)partikel in der Atmosphäre.

This photo was made rather coincidentally today. I was looking out of the window when I saw the red evening sky and the moon. The purple colour fascinated me so that I took my bicycle without a jacket or gloves but with camera and tripod to ride into the field where I took this improvised picture. Few minutes later the sky was blue/grey again. The optical phenomenon of the purple light can be seen during dusk and is caused by (dust) particles in the atmosphere.
