The Yellow-legged Gull has only recently gained widespread recognition as a separate species. 
It is a typical white-headed gull that lives primarily along human-influenced areas. 
Its call is loud and sonorous. 
Its diet is varied, even readily consuming plant matter such as grain seeds or cherries.

Die Mittelmeermöwe hat erst kürzlich breite Anerkennung als eigenständige Art erlangt. 
Es ist eine typische weißköpfige Großmöwe, die vor allem entlang menschlich geprägter Gebiete lebt. 
Ihr Ruf ist laut und klangvoll.
Die Nahrung ist vielseitig, sogar pflanzliche Bestandteile wie Getreidesamen oder Kirschen frisst sie gern.
