Orchis de Fuchs.... - a photo on Flickriver

            Appelé aussi Orchis de Meyer, Orchis des bois, c'est une plante élancée, à tige pleine, de la famille des Orchidaceae. L'inflorescence est plutôt dense, en épi conique devenant cylindrique. Les fleurs varient du lilas foncé au blanc. Les sépales latéraux sont écartés souvent maculés en dedans.
C'est une espèce de pleine lumière ou d'ombre sur substrats alcalins, secs à frais (pelouses, lisières de forêts, marais…) et qui fleurit en juin/juillet.
Celui-ci a été vu dans les Dolomites, à 2100 m d'altitude.
