The Mottled House - HWW - a photo on Flickriver

            I guess you would all like to know what happened here.  It is my opinion that local odd jobs men, Earl and Dwayne, were involved.  I think the new owners of this house thought that odd jobs meant that Earl and Dwayne could do a little bit of everything.  But, in truth they were noted for their “odd” jobs.  

Unfortunately that is who was hired to paint this house. They are quite a bit cheaper than actual painters.

The new owners did not care for dark grey and decided on a nice off white color.  
After the scaffolding was set up on the front of the house above the porch, Earl set the opened paint cans on the right side of the plank.  He proceeded to climb up on the left side.  He directed Dwayne to bring up the paint brushes and rollers.  When Dwayne also climbed up on the left side of the board, their combined weight flipped the board down, flinging the paint into the air and causing paint splotches all over the house.  

The owners were considerably upset, but Earl assured them that he and Dwayne would be back the next day to fix the mess.  That was several years ago.
By the way:  Dwayne is Daryl’s nephew.
