Photosynthesis - Sunlight Passing Through A Willow Leaf 2023-09-13. Parc Slip Aberkenfig, South Wales

            The September sunlight passing through this leaf caught my attention during an afternoon walk. A closer look revealed the fascinating structure of its underside and I had to capture this wonderful display of nature there and then. 

It seems to be a species of willow, perhaps a hybrid. If anyone can help with an identification, please let me know.

The image has been rotated 90° to accommodate an enlarged  view. 

It is certainly best viewed using the expansion arrows.
