DB Cargo_232 569-4 & 232 259-7_Biblis 04.11.2020 [Castortransport AKW Biblis]

            DE: Mit insgesamt sechs Castorbehältern aus der britischen Wiederaufbereitungsanlage Sellafield erreichen 232 569-4 und 232 259-7 am Vormittag des 4. November 2020 so eben das seit 2011 abgeschaltete Kernkraftwerk Biblis. Hier wird der radioaktive Abfall nun zwischengelagert. Der Transport erfolgte auf dem Schienenweg zwischen Nordenham und Biblis unter massiven Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und mit einem Großaufgebot der Polizei. Für die Traktion war DB Cargo zuständig, zum Einsatz kamen neben den gezeigten Maschinen zudem die hier nicht sichtbaren 232 255-0 und 232 254-3 am anderen Zugende.

EN: With a total of six Castor containers from the British reprocessing plant Sellafield, 232 569-4 and 232 259-7 arrive at the Biblis nuclear power plant, which has been shut down since 2011, on the morning of November 4, 2020. The radioactive waste will now be temporarily stored here. It was transported by rail between Nordenham and Biblis under massive security measures and with a large contingent of police. DB Cargo was responsible for the traction. In addition to the locos shown, 232 255-0 and 232 254-3 at the opposite end of the train, which is not visible here, were also used.
